Qualifications
  • Experienced PTs and new graduates with strong manual skills and excellent communication abilities are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
  • Be able to implement overload and specificity principles to ensure proper exercise prescription intensity for optimal therapeutic response.
  • Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
  • Ability to create small talk with patients 
  • Healthcare administration and documentation skills
  • License to practice or relevant certification
  • Associate degree as a PTA
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

Treatment Philosophy:
 Our treatment philosophy is firmly based on movement science with a test-treat-retest approach. Our treatment approach blends Maitland, PNF, and McKenzie's approaches while emphasizing overload and specificity principles. The ideal candidate will be able to implement our treatment philosophy while adding their own unique interventions and approach to provide high-quality care.   We minimize modalities and do not use a cookie-cutter approach—no bike, tens, ultrasound, or cold/heat pack assembly line.
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and fitness-forward licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with great communication skills to help our patients thrive by achieving their therapeutic goals and promoting a love and appreciation for the importance of exercise, nutrition, and overall health. You will work closely and under the direction of the doctor of physical therapy, treating patients with orthopedic medical problems or other conditions that limit their ability to move or perform functional activities.


Responsibilities 
  • Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises
  • Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy for individual differences
  • Recommend options, courses of action, or modifications in selected treatments ensure the patient’s progress, safety, and comfort
  • Apply the latest research related to restoring function, reducing symptoms frequency, and preventing injury
  • Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services
  • Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information
  • Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record
  • Participate in patient status judgments
  • Participate in various weekly meetings
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
